We protect your privacy and your private data. We collect, process and use your personal data in accordance with the content of these provisions on data protection as well as the applicable data protection laws and the Telemedia Act. We have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure that we comply with rules on data protection.
These data protection provisions regulate which personal data we collect, process and use about you. In the following, we inform you which data we store, why, how we use it and which rights you have. We therefore ask you to read the following information carefully.
In principle, you can use our online offer without disclosing your identity.
1. Collection of personal data
Through our website, we collect personal data only if you voluntarily provide us with such data, for example as part of an inquiry or registration or other entries in contact forms. 2. Processing of personal data
2. 1. Purpose of use
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To provide the services you have requested, such as contacting you, download functions or newsletter delivery. You will find detailed information on the services under point 3.
- To ensure that our website is presented to you in the most effective and interesting way possible.
- To meet our obligations under any contracts you may have entered into with us, such as registrations for Academy events.
- In order to substantiate any contractual relationships between you and us, to formulate and amend the content.
- To enable you to participate in interactive events, if you so wish.
- To inform you about changes to our services.
2.2 Legal basis
If the processing is based on a registration in connection with a consent (e.g. newsletter, download, contact request, information material), the data will be processed based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
Insofar as processing is necessary to initiate or execute a contract (e.g. preparation of an offer and registration for events), the legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR. The same applies to the data processing necessary for the provision and sending of content.
In order to optimise and adapt the website and our offers (website analysis), we process data based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Unless separate consent is necessary to adequately protect the interests of the user, the adaptation of content to the interests of the user is also based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
3.1 Registration via contact form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, such as a callback request or a request for information material, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact data provided by you, will be stored by us for processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. These data will not be passed on without your consent. Please note paragraph 1, paragraph 2 and paragraph 6.
3.2 Newsletter subscription
If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter (double opt-in).
Further data will not be collected, except on an expressly voluntary basis, e.g. to optimise the content according to your interests. These data are stored by us and used exclusively for the dispatch of the requested information and for the personalization of the newsletter. In addition, we carry out a link tracking for the evaluation and continuous improvement of the newsletter contents, as far as you have given your separate consent. In the area of newsletter dispatch and tracking, we work with selected domestic service providers with whom there is a data processing agreement within the meaning of Art. 30 GDPR.
You can easily unsubscribe via the link at the end of each newsletter if you no longer wish to receive the newsletter at any time. You can also cancel the link tracking at any time by clicking on the link at the end of the newsletter or object to further data processing by e-mail. Please note paragraph 2 in this regard.
You can download content from our website, including the "Worth knowing" and "Success Stories" sections. Depending on the content, a download may be freely available or registration may be required. In the case of a registration, this is done via a contact form. Please note paragraph 1, paragraph 2, paragraph 3.1 and paragraph 3.2 in this regard.
3.4 Online bookings

3.5 Dealing with application information
3.5.1 We only use data that has been transmitted to us in the form of an application for our company internally for processing and evaluating the application and do not pass it on to third parties outside ConSense GmbH. Information and electronic documents are stored by us for the duration of the application process (completion of the selection process plus 6 months). During this time your data will be blocked by ConSense GmbH for any access.
3.5.2 Often we have several particularly suitable applicants for a position. Subject to the applicant's consent, we offer rejected applicants to include their data in our applicant pool. Your application will therefore be considered for future vacancies. Applicants will be contacted by telephone or email after the selection process in order to clarify any possible interest in the applicant pool. If the applicant is interested, a separate written consent will be obtained.
If applicants only want their data to be considered for a specific job offer and do not want their application documents to remain in our applicant pool, we will proceed as described in paragraph 1.
3.5.3 If you make use of the possibility of online application, you agree that it will be processed via the portal www.onlinebewerbungsserver.de. Accordingly, the data protection provisions of www.onlinebewerbungsserver.de. apply.
4. Information about your computer, cookies and targeting
4.1 Each time you access our site, we collect the following information about your computer: your computer's IP address, your browser's request, requesting domain and the date and time of that request. In addition, the status and the amount of data transferred are recorded as part of this request. We also collect product and version information about the browser and operating system used on your computer. We also record the website from which you accessed our site. The IP address of your computer is only stored for the duration of your use of the website and is subsequently made anonymous by abbreviation. The remaining data is stored for a limited period of time. We use this data for the operation of our website, in particular to detect and eliminate errors on the website, to determine the utilisation of the website and to make adjustments or improvements.
4.2 We may also collect information about your use of our website using browser cookies. These are small text files which are stored on your data carrier and which store certain settings and data for exchange with our system via your browser. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. A cookie usually contains the name of the domain from which the cookie data was sent as well as information about the age of the cookie and an alphanumeric identifier. Cookies allow our systems to recognize the user's device and make any preferences available immediately. When a user accesses the platform, a cookie is sent to the hard drive of the user's computer. Cookies help us to improve our website and offer you a better and more personalized service. Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies". They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your computer when you return to our website and thereby:
- Storing information about your preferred activities on the website and thus tailoring our website to your individual interests. This includes, for example, offers that correspond to your personal interests;
- Speed up the processing of your requests.
4.3 In the cookies we use, only the data explained above about your use of the website will be stored. This is not done by assigning you personally, but by assigning an identification number to the cookie ("cookie ID"). The cookie ID is not merged with your name, IP address or similar data that would enable the cookie to be assigned to you. For information on how you can prevent the use of browser cookies, see Section 4.6.
4.4 Our website uses so-called tracking technologies. We use these technologies to make the website more interesting for you. This technology makes it possible to address internet users who are already interested in our website on the websites of our partners. The insertion of these advertising media on the pages of our partners takes place on the basis of cookie technology and an analysis of the previous usage behaviour. This analysis is carried out under a pseudonym and no user profiles are merged with your personal data. If you do not agree to the creation of user profiles, you can object to this by sending us a message. A special opt-out cookie is then stored on your computer, which must be stored permanently. If you delete this cookie or if it is automatically deleted by browser settings, you must reinstall this cookie when you visit our site again.
4.5 We work with the business partners listed below to help us make the website more interesting for you. Therefore, when you visit the website, cookies from these partner companies are also stored on your hard drive. These cookies are automatically deleted after the specified time. The cookies of our partner companies also only collect data under a cookie ID, which enables our partners to address you with offers that might actually be of interest to you. How you can prevent the use of such cookies is explained below and in section 4.6.
4.5.1 Google Analytics
Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
22.214.171.124 IP anonymisation
In view of the discussion about the use of analysis tools with complete IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the function "Activation of IP anonymization" [_anonymizeIp()] and therefore IP addresses are only processed in abbreviated form in order to exclude direct personal references. Your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to and truncated by Google on servers in the United States.

188.8.131.52 Opposition to data collection
You can also prevent the Google Analytics collection by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie is set to prevent your data from being collected in the future when you visit this website:
This opt-out cookie must be permanently stored on your computer. If you delete this cookie or it is automatically deleted by browser settings, you must reinstall this cookie when you return to our site.
184.108.40.206 Commissioned data processing
We have concluded a contract with Google for commissioned data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
4.5.2 Google Adwords
We use Google Conversion Tracking. Google Adwords places a cookie on your computer if you have reached our website via Google advertisement. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you visit our website and the cookie has not expired, Google and we may recognize that you have clicked on the Google ad and have been directed to that page. Each Adwords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies can therefore not be tracked through the websites of Adwords customers. The collected information using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Adwords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. This tells us the total number of users who clicked on an ad and were directed to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any personally identifiable information.
If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can also refuse to set a cookie as required for this - for example, by setting your browser to disable the automatic setting of cookies. You can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain "www.googleadservices.com".
Further information on Google's data protection and the cookies used can be found here: services.google.com/sitestats/de.html
4.5.3 Retargeting technology from Google AdWords
This website uses Internet retargeting technology. This enables us to target those Internet users with advertising who are already interested in our products. We know from studies that the insertion of personalized, interest-related advertising is more interesting for the Internet user than advertising that has no such personal reference. During retargeting, the advertising media are displayed on the basis of a cookie-based analysis of previous user behaviour. Of course, no personal data is stored here either, and it goes without saying that the retargeting technology is used in compliance with the applicable statutory data protection provisions. If you do not want Google Inc. technologies to collect and use such data, you can use the following link to control cookies for ads and deactivate interest-related ads: www.google.de/policies/technologies/ads/
4.5.4 Google services
Since Google operates servers worldwide, the possibility cannot be ruled out that personal data continue to be transferred to Google LLC based in the United States. Google is certified under the EU-US Privacy shield. A current certificate can be found here: www.privacyshield.gov/list
The EU-US Privacy Shield is a framework for regulating transatlantic exchanges of personal data, negotiated between the European Union and the United States of America in 2015 – 2016. It is based on a range of assurances of the US Federal Government and a Decision of the European Commission. On 12 July 2016, the Commission had decided that requirements of Privacy Shield complied with the level of data protection in the European Union; the Agreement can be applied since then.
4.6 If you do not wish to use browser cookies, you can set your browser to notify you when cookies are set and to allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis, to prevent cookies from being accepted in certain cases or generally, and to enable automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. Please note that if you deactivate cookies, you may only be able to use our website to a limited extent or not at all.
If you only want to accept our own cookies, but not the cookies of our service providers and partners, you can select the setting in your browser "Block third-party cookies".
4.7 The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Browser type and browser version
- Used operating system
- Referrer URL
- Hostname of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
These data cannot be assigned to specific persons. This data will not be merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to subsequently check this data if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use.
5. Data security
All information that you transmit to us is stored on servers within the European Union. Unfortunately, the transmission of information over the Internet is not completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted over the Internet to our website. However, we use technical and organisational measures to protect our website and other systems against the loss, destruction, access, alteration or distribution of your data by unauthorised persons. In particular, we will transmit your personal data in encrypted form. We use the TLS (Transport Layer Security) coding system. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. If TLS encryption is activated, third parties cannot read the data you transmit to us.
When communicating by e-mail, we cannot guarantee complete data security, so we recommend that you send confidential information by post:
52072 Aachen, Germany
6. No disclosure of your personal data
We will not disclose your personal data to third parties unless you have consented to the disclosure of such data or we are entitled or obliged to disclose such data by law and/or governmental or court order. In particular, this may involve providing information for the purposes of criminal prosecution, averting danger or enforcing intellectual property rights.
7. Amendments to these data protection provisions
We reserve the right to change these data protection provisions at any time with effect for the future. A current version is available on the website. Please visit the website regularly and inform yourself about the applicable data protection provisions. If you have registered by email on our website, we will also inform you of any changes to data protection provisions by email.
8. Your rights and contact
You can revoke your consent to the collection and use of personal data given to us at any time with effect for the future. You have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, their origin and recipient and the purpose of data processing as well as a right to correction, blocking or deletion or transfer of this data. You can contact us at any time by email. Data for accounting and bookkeeping purposes are not affected by a termination or deletion. If you have any questions, comments or inquiries regarding the collection, processing and use of your personal data by us, please also contact us by email.
Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State where you reside, your place of work or the location of the alleged infringement, if you are of the opinion that data processiong concerning you violates the GDPR.
